Given the employee churn rate, an inability to render coworker departures in an amusing or interesting way is going to be a fatal handicap in any comic strip covering day-to-day life at BIOSIS. I just don’t do “serious” well.
If there’s one thing I DO like here, it’s the idea that I’m talking to the departing character, who then just disappears in the last panel. And the thumb tacks and Velcro strips to telegraph “no name plate/empty cubicle” works OK. So there’s that.
